Future Tense with 'going to'
El tiempo futuro con 'going to' se usa más comúnmente en el lenguaje hablado cuando se desea hacer referencia del futuro inmediato, a algo que está por ocurrir.
It's going to rain!
¡Va a llover! (algo que está por ocurrir)

También se emplea para hablar de intenciones o planes para hacer algo.
I'm going to learn English.
Voy a aprender inglés. (intención)

Se forma con el verbo TO BE conjugado para la persona correspondiente, seguido de GOING TO y el verbo base. Por ejemplo:



GOING TO + PLAY
I'm going to play
You're going to play
He's going to play
She's going to play
It's going to play
We're going to play
You're going to play
They're going to play

Para expresar la negación, se debe usar el verbo TO BE en su forma negativa, seguido de GOING TO más el verbo base.



GOING TO + PLAY
 I'm not going to play
You aren't going to play
He isn't going to play
She isn't going to play
It isn't going to play
We aren't going to play
You aren't going to play
They aren't going to play

La forma interrogativa de esta construcción se compone de la forma interrogativa del verbo TO BE y luego GOING TO más el verbo base.



GOING TO + PLAY
Am I going to play?
Are you going to play?
Is he going to play?
Is she going to play?
It is going to play?
Are we going to play?
Are you going to play?
Are they going to play?

Para hacer preguntas, se agrega la 'question word' delante. Por ejemplo:
What are you going to do in May?
Where are you going to spend your holidays?
How are you going to travel?
